The past week, the world’s largest cycling competition started and two Eritreans were in the starting line. In the shadow of that race, Adhanom Zemekael made his debut for his new Serbian team.
On Wednesday Adhanom Zemekeal made his debut for his new team, Start-Vaxes Cycling Team in the Tour de Hongrie. He finished 32nd in the general classification after all the five stages.
On Saturday the world’s largest cycling competition, the Tour de France started. Two Eritreans are a part of the tour. Natnael Berhane and Daniel Teklehaimanot have had a bit of a rough start. After two stages Natnael Berhane is ranked 176th and Daniel Teklehaimanot 179th in the general classification. It’s worth to mention that none of the stages was a mountain stage. When the mountain stages starts, we can expect a better performance from our Eritreans.
